I used the words ¡°Common Sense¡± many times in this book. Any knowledge based on common sense should make sense in any case, thus should have some element of truth. However, people seem to accept something as common sense when in actuality does not make sense.

If someone's eyesight is failing, it is a functional problem of the liver. Likewise, treatment should focus on the functional recovery of the liver and not the eyes. When someone has a functional problem with the bowels, he/she loses weight and liver spots and freckles begin to appear on the skin. Putting aside the ultimate cause, doctors focus on the treatment of skin by using ointments or even surgery. As for headaches, people use pain relievers instead of supplying enough blood to the brain cells. How about a toothache? Although the cause of this disease is inflammation in the gum caused by tartar and Eohyeol, dentists think that antibiotics are what will cure the inflammation. Again, the inflammation cannot get better since blood, which carries the antibiotics substance to all places in the body, cannot reach the region afflicted with inflammation. It is same with other diseases. The above cases are not medical treatment since they focus on the symptom itself and not the cause. Any medical treatment without functional improvement does not make sense. Everyone, especially physicians, should know and admit to the fact that removing the cause of illness is real medical treatment. This is common sense.
